Little to no digging is involved in this trenchless process, making for a potentially more cost-effective and less disruptive method than traditional digging methods. Liner can be inserted using water or air pressure. Hot water, (UV light, which is the most common curing method we at Infrahydro use), ambient cured or steam is used to cure the resin and form a tight-fitting, jointless and corrosion-resistant replacement pipe. Service laterals are then restored robotically, after the install is complete, up to 24” (600mm) using either pull in place robotic cutters, or self propelled robotics set up and adjusted for each diameter pipe we line. The service lateral connection can be sealed with specially designed CIPP materials, and not restored at the customers request.

CIPP is one of several trenchless rehabilitation methods used to repair existing pipelines. CIPP is a jointless, seamless, pipe-within-a-pipe with the capability to rehabilitate pipes ranging in diameter from 4” (100mm) – 110” (2750mm).

At Infrahydro we specialize in UV Curing, with one-third less curing time than steam,or hot water curing. CCTV video inspection allows the operator to see any sags or wrinkles in the lining so they can be corrected before the curing. The interest in cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) liners cured with ultraviolet light is expanding the market by offering a rehabilitation option with significant advantages. UV curing technology is widely used in Europe and its use is now gaining traction in North America.

UV lining is the most environmentally friendly method when it comes to CIPP, due to the lack of styrene contaminated water potentially sent downstream without a capture method. When it comes to storm drainage ( outfalls to rivers, lakes, streams and ponds ) UV is most desired method without a doubt.

<img class='avia_image ' src='http://infrahydro.com/home/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/cipp2.jpg' alt='' title='cipp2' height="656"width="496" itemprop="thumbnailUrl" />

Connect With Us

Do you have a project in your city or municipality?
