MSI
(Multi Sensor Inspection)
This type of technology we utilize to collect data provides our clients with multiple types of data collection with one single migration through the existing infrastructure. Typically used in larger diameter pipe with high water levels, pipe with access points which are buried causing extreme distances to be travelled, and where bypass pumping is not an economical option due to depths of the pipe. We have performed MSI with depths of 35+m ( 115+ft) and with peak flow rates of 1.8 cubic meters per second to say the least.
Multi-sensor inspection (MSI) refers to the collection of data from multiple sensors mounted on one float or robotically controlled crawler system. The sensors can collect data while the equipment is in continuous motion, travelling either upstream or downstream from access points. Using this type of technology our field technicians can collect multiple types of data collection which include ovality of the pipeline, current debris settled, live H2S ppm levels/deterioration due to gases, laterals, buried access points, sags in pipes, and high definition CCTV views!!! This technology provides true 360-degree real time conditions during active flow, eliminating the costs of bypass/dewatering the pipe in most cases.
